Screen your patients for instability, weakness, and pain in their lumbar spine and knees. Your lumbar spine objective testing must reveal instability in order to qualify (for example, a positive instability catch sign). Objective testing of the knee must reveal laxity to qualify (for example, a positive varus/valgus stress test).
